A Climate Sculpured Landscape
The seasons are in constant flux, shaping the landscape and the lives of its inhabitants. Summers are warm and sunny, perfect for exploring forests and meadows, or cooling off in the crystal-clear waters of the torrents. Winters, on the other hand, transform the valley into a pristine white blanket, where silence is broken only by the crackling of fires and the whisper of wind through the trees
Two Climates, Endless Adventures
To simplify the setting, the valley's territory is divided into two main climate zones: the valley floor, more populated and teeming with life, and the higher ridges, a realm of ice and rock.
In the valley floor, amidst lush vineyards and ancient forests, picturesque villages, medieval castles, and imposing fortresses rise. As you ascend, the landscape becomes increasingly rugged and wild, until you reach the perpetual glaciers where only the hardiest creatures can survive.
The Shadowed Realm
On the south side of the valley, the Envers stretches out with its evocative atmosphere. This slope, less exposed to the sun during the cold season, is shrouded in an aura of mystery and enchantment. Ancient legends and stories passed down through generations make it a place steeped in darkness and intrigue.
Political Situation
An overlap of sacred and political/feudal power creates fertile ground for intrigue, alliances, and plot twists. Players can navigate these forces, choosing which side to align with or skillfully playing multiple sides. Whether they choose to serve the Church, the Savoyards, the Emperor, or their own vassals, every decision will have profound consequences for the balance of the valley.
