Real Places, Fantastic Tales
Each location in Magica Vallee is inspired by a real-world site but reimagined through the lens of fantasy.
Here are a few of the legendary locales you might stumble upon:
- The Tower of Terror
The Leper's Tower was erected upon the ruins of an ancient Roman tower and was initially known as the Friour Tower or De Friours Tower, named after the noble family that resided within its walls. .
As the centuries rolled by, the tower fell into disuse and was rechristened the Tour de la frayeur ("Tower of Dread"), a name that hints at the unsettling tales that surround it. In 1773, the Mauritian Order acquired the structure and repurposed it to house Pietro Bernardo Guasco, a leper hailing from Oneglia, which helped immortalise the tower under its current moniker.
In Magica Vallee, the tower takes on an even more sinister and dark role. We have reimagined this tower as the abode of a fearsome lineage: the Pleoz, a family that, in reality, inhabited the tower for a mere few years before its abandonment.
In our alternate history, the tower has become the stronghold of the Tengu or Kenku, devious and enigmatic creatures . Thanks to its strategic location near the city's western gate, the Tengu can observe passersby and meticulously select their victims, favouring the wealthiest merchants for their ambushes.

The shadow of war fell upon the verdant valleys of Magica Vallee. The armies amassed, a tide of steel and sorcery converging upon the impregnable fortress of Verres.
Knights in shining armor, dwarves clad in steel, and elves shimmering with arcane grace marched alongside fearsome orcs and shadowy creatures of the night.
The gathered heroes, a diverse assembly of seasoned adventurers, meticulously crafted their strategy to breach the castle's defenses. Verres, perched defiantly upon its rocky peak, presented a formidable challenge.
Not only did its towering walls defy assault, but Ybleto di Challand, the odious kidnapper, commanded a formidable aerial defense.
